Rapid access fracture clinic

Spire Shawfair Park Hospital’s newly launched rapid access fracture clinic is designed to support patients who have been to their GP or local minor injuries unit and require orthopaedic treatment or surgical follow up.  The rapid access fracture clinic benefits include:

  • initial consultation within 72 hours
  • imaging, casting, splinting as required
  • onward referral to physiotherapists
  • surgery within 10 days, where clinically necessary

We treat: ankle and foot fractures; finger, hand and wrist fractures; forearm, elbow or shoulder fractures; stress fractures; tibial plateau, shaft or plafond fractures.
