Beverages at Christmas

13 December 2018

It's that wonderful time of year again when Christmas markets start and local coffee shops start selling their festive beverages. When you are out and about Christmas shopping and need a pit-stop, be aware of what you choose to refuel. You may be surprised by the levels of sugar and calories in many popular Christmas coffees and speciality drinks that you find on the high street.

With guidelines recommending we have no more than seven teaspoons of sugar per day, you can quickly go over this with just one coffee. What’s more, with some Christmas drinks packing in over 500 calories, you could be using up a quarter of your daily recommended calorie intake on your coffee stop…….
