Mr Evangelos Tselos

I have been a Consultant Gynaecological Surgeon since 2014. I completed my specialist training in the East of England Deanery. I spent the latter years working closely with endometriosis specialists and oncology sub-specialists, developing advanced laparoscopic skills. I completed 10 modules of the advanced gynaecological endoscopy postgraduate course at Surrey University. This has ultimately enabled me to develop expertise in advanced laparoscopic surgery and managing endometriosis. I am offering robotic surgery where applicable.

I have experience in all aspects of general gynaecology. I have a keen interest in perimenopausal and postmenopausal health and offer several treatment and management options. I am the lead clinician of the endometriosis service in West Herts Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, with ability to successfully treat complex cases. I use a combination of surgical and medical treatments to achieve the best results with minimal side effects. I encourage my patients to take active participation regarding their treatment.

Similarly in menopause, I employ a holistic approach, aiming to improve the overall quality of life of my patients with a focus on their symptoms and needs. I always take time to explain in detail the risks and benefits, as well as potential side effects of any treatment.

In addition to my clinical work, I am lecturing and provide postgraduate teaching on endometriosis diagnosis and treatment and laparoscopic surgery courses. I have a keen interest in research, and I keep my knowledge and skills up to date by attending regular international meetings eg British Menopause Society Annual Scientific meeting, EndoDubai, FIGO. Recently I was invited to give an oral presentation at Gynitaly 2023 (joint AAGL/ESGE international endometriosis meeting).
