BMedSc (Hons) MBChB PhD FRCS (Urol)
I am a Consultant Urological Surgeon with a particular focus on both benign and cancerous problems of the bladder and prostate. Following completion of surgical training in London, I undertook a fellowship training position in laser prostate (HoLEP) and stone surgery.
I specialise in diagnosis and treatment of prostate and bladder problems, both benign and cancerous. I perform precision-point and template transperineal prostate biopsies using multiparametric MRI scans in the diagnosis of Prostate Cancer. I also diagnose and treat benign prostate disease and offer Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate. I see patients with bladder problems including blood in the urine (haematuria), incontinence, scrotal and penile problems.
I am the clinical lead for prostate cancer active surveillance at Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust.
In addition I am one of two UK Urologists who sit on the European Association of Urology bladder cancer guidelines panel and also an advisor to Prostate Cancer UK.
I was awarded a PhD from Imperial College London for his research in healthcare education and health policy. I have presented my research at conferences in Europe and the United States and maintain an active research interest.
