I am a Consultant Urological Surgeon with a specialist interest in andrology. I have an NHS practice based at University College London Hospital and am also Honorary Senior Lecturer at University College London (UCL). I completed my higher degree (MD) at UCL investigating the physiology of smooth muscle dysfunction.
I have published widely on all aspects of urology with over 100 peer reviewed publications. I have co-edited four books, Viva Practice for the FRCS (Urol),Textbook of Penile Cancer, Atlas of Male Genitourethral Surgery and recently Prosthetic Surgery in Urology. As well as lecturing to trainee surgeons, I lecture throughout the UK and is involved in teaching at international surgical masterclasses and the Royal College of Surgeons' Core Surgical Skills Course. I regularly review for a number of urology publications and is an assistant editor for a quarterly urology journal. I am President of the British Society for Sexual Medicine and Chair of the BAUS Andrology Section and am currently part of the executive committee of the British Andrology Society.
