I have been working as a Consultant Ophthalmologist since 2004. I love my job and the interaction with my patients. My main interests in ophthalmology are: cataract surgery (phacoemulsification with monofocal, multifocal and toric lens implants) and paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus (squints for adults and children). I also see patients with general ophthalmology problems, eyelid problems and glaucoma and perform Botulinum Toxin injections for different pathologies.
My main treatments are: Cataract (phacoemulsification with the use of modern implants), Squints (strabismus), Glaucoma, eyelid surgery, general ophthalmology and paediatric ophthalmology.
I have performed more than 9,000 cataract operations and more than 1,500 squint surgeries. I regularly perform minor operations for eyelids and anterior segment abnormalities.
I have been a College Tutor for Ophthalmology for 10 years. I have an interest in education of junior doctors.

I am married with two children. We love travelling and usually combine our holidays with activities such as skiing, tennis, swimming and wind surfing. I also love music and can play the piano and the mandolin. I speak several foreign languages (Greek, French and Italian).
