As part of our longstanding relationship, we are proud to be dedicating our resources to the NHS at this important time. As a result many of our treatments are currently suspended and we are reviewing all planned procedures and consultations. We are making every effort to talk to impacted patients and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Dr Tony Chow at Spire include:
I am a cardiac specialist in heart rhythm disorders as well as heart failure and complex cardiac devices. I am trained and accredited in general medicine, general cardiology and coronary intervention. I graduated from the Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine, London and have done most of my specialist training at St Mary's Hospital in London.
I have achieved the Young investigator final award for research at the European Cardiac Society and international competitions in the USA. I have specialised in the full spectrum of arrhythmia management and complex device therapy, and developed the specialist electrophysiology service in Berkshire.
I am also a leading consultant in the Department of Cardiac Electrophysiology at University College Hospitals London, running one of the busiest clinical cardiac rhythm management and research departments in the UK. I am engaged in active research programmes in arrhythmia and device treatment and have published books on these subjects. I hold a number of British Heart Foundation and substantial industry funded research grants for research.
I am a fellow of the Royal College of physicians and am the joint clinical lead for Arrhythmia and Sudden Cardiac Death Subgroup in The Thames Valley.
