I am one of the few Consultant Dermatologists with specialist expertise in hair and scalp disorders. I have also had extensive training in the diagnosis and treatment of skin rashes, acne, eczema and psoriasis. I have specialist expertise in diagnosing and managing skin cancers and skin lesions. I am aware of how difficult it can be to cope with and talk about skin and hair problems. I therefore always ensure plenty of time to discuss concerns and achieve a manageable treatment plan.
I studied Medicine and an intercalated BSc in Pharmacology at Bristol University. I also took an MSc in Clinical Dermatology at the St Johns Institute of Dermatology in London and achieved a Distinction. I completed my dermatology training in Oxford and also did a fellowship in hair and scalp disorders in Brighton. I became a consultant in 2015. I work at Watford General Hospital, West Herts Teaching Hospitals NHS trust both as a general dermatologist and alopecia specialist. I am the skin cancer lead consultant and run the hair and scalp disorders service.
