I originally qualified at the University of Wales College of Medicine, Cardiff in 1988. In 1990, I moved to the London area to continue my training in a wide variety of hospitals within the North London area.
I was appointed as a consultant gastroenterologist at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust in 2001. During my time here as a consultant I have held numerous responsibility roles within the gastroenterology department (including Clinical Lead, Governance Lead and Training Lead).
I am currently also the Clinical Director for all Cancer Services at West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust. As at West Herts, my clinical practice at Spire Bushey Hospitals covers the investigation and management of all forms of gastrointestinal complaints. I have specialist interests in upper/lower gastrointestinal endoscopy and hepatobiliary disease.
