I qualified in medicine from the University of London, from where I was also awarded an MD for a thesis on lipid and purine metabolism. I am a Consultant Physician and Rheumatologist and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians.
My medical training was at Cambridge University and Guy's Hospital Medical School. I see patients with all types of rheumatic disease and teach and supervise medical students and trainee doctors.
