Paediatric Services

Parkway paediatric services offers a wide range of treatments and operations - all available in the comfort of a local, clean and private hospital environment. Paediatric surgery services are for children aged three and over. Children can be seen by a paediatric specialist consultant within the chosen area of speciality - whether it be ENT, general surgery, orthopaedic surgery, plastic surgery, oral surgery, urology or ophthalmology. Each of our specialists has comprehensive experience treating children within the NHS. A full out-patient service is available for children, including taking blood and minor procedures if necessary. We also offer a specialist paediatric physiotherapy service to treat conditions such as developmental problems, cerebral palsy, children with juvenile idiopathic arthritis and sports injuries. We know that when children need to come in to hospital, it can be an anxious time for the whole family – that’s why we offer children and their families an opportunity to visit the hospital prior to admission, become familiar with the surroundings and meet the experts who will be involved in their care. If surgery is needed, our young patients will be admitted at a mutually convenient time and will stay in a private, en-suite room with a TV. A specialist paediatric nurse will be assigned to them for the duration of their stay to ensure that all their needs are met.
