I am an experienced Registered Dietitian (RD) who has practiced within the NHS and private health sector since 2002. I trained in Edinburgh and initially practiced for a number of years in NHS Teaching Hospitals, covering a wide variety of areas including general medicine, cardiology, diabetes, gastroenterology, oncology and haematology, nutritional support and orthopaedics. Following this I worked as a Community Nutritional Support Dietitian providing Parenteral and Enteral Nutritional Support to patients in their own homes/care homes.
I have worked for Spire Healthcare since 2010 providing dietetic care for bariatrics, weight management, gastroenterology (including dietary management for IBS and IBD, coeliac disease), diabetes and sports nutrition advice.
I also hold voluntary positions as a Nutritionist for two amateur swimming clubs, providing educational and practical Cook and Eat sessions, which I thoroughly enjoy.
I am a member of the Dietetic Association (BDA), including Specialist Groups: Obesity, Gastroenterology, Food Allergy and Sports Nutrition Group.
