Ophthalmology, macular degeneration, glaucoma treatment, vitreo-retinal surgery, squint surgery, retinal disease, refractive surgery, oculoplastic surgery, neuro-ophthalmology, corneal and external eye disease, cataract surgery, retinal laser treatment, injection of intravitreal injections.
I perform cataract surgery and all medical, laser and intravitreal treatment of retinal conditions, diabetes, age related macular degeneration, and vascular disorders.
I have been a consultant ophthalmic surgeon for over twenty years covering a whole range of conditions of the eye - external diseases, glaucoma, cataract retinal disorders.
I perform on average over 400 cataract procedures, 400 intravitreal injections and 50 laser procedures annually. My surgical results are audited, independently, annually.
I have held the following positions: Clinical Lead, Clinical Audit Lead, Clinical Governance Lead for Ophthalmology and Scheduled Care at Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust; I am the nominated Secondary Care Lead for Diabetic Retinopathy
I am a Microsurgical Trainer for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists. I am also the examiner and assessor for the Royal College.
I am a Trustee and have been a Chairman and Treasurer of a charity. I have carried out training and service overseas trips to India and Ghana. I am a recipient of a Level 7 clinical excellence award in recognition of all the above.
