I qualified from Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt in 1979. I completed my registrar rotation in Worcester, Redditch and at Birmingham Women’s Hospital before becoming Senior Registrar at Birmingham Women’s Hospital.
I then went on to complete part of my medical training in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA, before moving to the UK to undertake obstetrics and gynaecology training in the West Midlands.
I then took up the post of Consultant Gynaecologist and Obstetrician in Worcester before moving to the North West to join the Consultant Gynaecologist team in East Lancashire.
