If you're considering any form of cosmetic surgery you'll know how important it is to find out as much as you can before…
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Mr Jonathan Hobson at Spire include:
Adenoidectomy, antral washout, deviated septum (septoplasty), ear wax removal, endoscopic sinus surgery, hearing loss, microsuction of ear canal, nasal polypectomy, swallowing difficulties, thyroid surgery.
I graduated from the Universities of Cambridge and Oxford. As a medical student, I spent time at the Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai and the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto where I developed an interest in head and neck surgery.
I commenced my surgical training in London and moved to Manchester where I was an ENT registrar from 2004 - 2011.
In 2010 I spent a year working at the Flinders Medical Centre in Adelaide, Australia on a prestigious international fellowship with Professor Simon Carney and Dr Sam Robinson. I was able to devote time to advanced rhinology training and developed my expertise in the surgical treatment of snoring and obstructive sleep apnoea.
I am passionate about teaching and I am heavily involved with the undergraduate medical student programme at the University of Liverpool. I participate in regular audit and I regularly evaluate the outcome of my surgery. Every facet of my clinical work is underpinned by the desire to provide high quality, safe healthcare and I hugely appreciate the feedback and testimonials that my patients provide.
I am happy to see all patients with general ENT problems and I have a particular interest in snoring and sleep apnoea surgery, nasal problems, thyroid lumps and cancers as well as children's ENT problems such as recurrent sore throats and deafness.
I believe in conservative management ahead of surgery and in formulating a unique treatment plan for every patient based on both their disease and individual wishes and circumstances.
