I have been a Consultant Gastroenterologist at Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust since July 2010.
My special interests within the specialty are liver diseases, inflammatory bowel disease, functional gut disorders, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease and nutrition.
I am an experienced and skilled operator in various endoscopic procedures including diagnostic and therapeutic upper GI endoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy and polypectomy.
I specialise in various aspects of liver disease including fatty liver disease, viral hepatitis, chronic liver disease/ fibrosis, cirrhosis and complications.
I am currently the clinical lead for endoscopy and gastroenterology at Warrington Hospital. I set up the Fibroscan service at Warrington Hospital. Fibroscan is a non invasive tool to assess liver fibrosis.
I am also the training lead for endoscopy at Warrington Hospital.
