Gastroenterology: nutrition, inflammatory bowel disease, gastrointestinal cancer, endoscopy and colonoscopy.
I gained my first medical qualification in 1998 and I have since spent over ten years training in the Mersey region. During my specialist training I have worked in most hospitals in the region and gained extremely valuable experience. I have a sub-specialty interest in conditions affecting the bowel, particularly inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), upper gastrointestinal cancers and therapeutic endoscopy. At Warrington Hospital I am the lead of the gastrointestinal bleed service, nutrition and endoscopy training. I play an active role in service development and have developed various local guidelines/protocols and pathways.
