I was the lead clinician for Inflammatory Bowel Disease in the Trust for many years. I am currently the lead for hepatobiliary endoscopy (ERCP) as well as the lead clinician for Gastroenterology research. Under my leadership, the research team at Whiston won the NIHR award of the best commercial research team in the North West for the year 2020. I am also the principle investigator for the largest portfolio of commercial gastro-intestinal trials in the north of England.
