FRCP
"A very friendly and ultra professional hospital with committed staff who clearly enjoy what they do."
I have been a Consultant Geriatrician and Stroke Physician since 2009 and have extensive experience in the assessment and management of older adults with complex medical needs.
My clinical interests include general internal medicine, medicine in the older adult, stroke and transient ischaemic attacks (TIA), unexplained falls, dizziness and “funny turns”, memory problems and dementia, peri-operative assessment, and the management of long-term conditions such as hypertension and heart failure in older people.
I completed my specialist training in General Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine on the North West London rotation before taking up consultant posts at University College London Hospitals and North Middlesex University Hospital. I have been based at West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust since 2014.
Alongside my clinical practice, I have held several senior leadership roles at West Hertfordshire Hospitals, including Clinical Lead for Stroke Services for 10 years and Clinical Director for the Care of the Elderly Directorate for almost five years. Since June 2025, I have served as Deputy Chief Medical Officer, with a focus on quality improvement and efficiency.
I am a member of the British and Irish Association of Stroke Physicians and a Royal College of Physicians representative.
