Specialises in
I am a Consultant Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon with extensive experience in managing complex musculoskeletal conditions in children and adolescents. I specialise in hip and knee disorders, neuromuscular conditions, limb deformity correction, and trauma, including non-operative management techniques. With a patient-centered approach, I focus on delivering minimally invasive treatments where possible and ensuring optimal outcomes through meticulous planning and care.
I specialise in all areas of children's orthopaedic surgery, with a special interest on hip conditions such as developmental dysplasia (DDH), Perthes disease, and slipped upper femoral epiphysis (SUFE). My expertise extends to the management of limb deformities, including leg length discrepancies, angular deformities, and guided growth techniques.
I also specialise in paediatric trauma, particularly fractures of the upper and lower limbs, clavicle fractures, and femoral shaft fractures, often employing minimally invasive or non-operative treatments. Additionally, I provide care for children with neuromuscular conditions like cerebral palsy, offering spasticity management, contracture release, and guided growth hip surgeries to prevent complications such as hip subluxations.
Known as #TheKidsBoneDoc, I am dedicated to providing expert care and supporting families with clear communication and compassion. My international work, particularly in developing paediatric orthopeadic programmes in Tanzania, reflects my commitment to advancing global healthcare.
With experience that currently spans both NHS and private practice, with additional contributions to global healthcare through international training programmes, I see and help around 3,000 patients a year. To date, I have performed over 2,500 paediatric orthopaedic procedures, including more than 500 hip surgeries addressing conditions such as developmental dysplasia, Perthes disease, and SUFE. I have conducted over 1,000 trauma surgeries, including complex fracture management and non-operative techniques such as spica casting for femoral shaft fractures.
I have performed more than 300 guided growth procedures for limb deformities and leg length discrepancies and have extensive experience managing neuromuscular conditions, completing over 200 surgeries to improve mobility and prevent complications in children with cerebral palsy.
