I have been a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon for five years and have broad experience across ophthalmology with a specialist interest in glaucoma. I have completed fellowships at St Thomas' Hospital, King's College Hospital and Moorfields Eye Hospital as well as a research fellowship based at Moorfields Eye Hospital and the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology.
I offer cataract surgery including premium lenses and have a wealth of experience in performing cataract surgery in patients with co-existent glaucoma. I offer cataract surgery combined with iStent® (titanium implant to bypass the eye's drainage system) in a sub-group of these patients. I have more than 10 years' experience performing glaucoma laser procedures - these comprise laser iridotomy and selective laser trabeculoplasty. I also offer a wide range of glaucoma procedures including trabeculectomy, aqueous shunt surgery and PreserFlo Microshunt.
To date I have performed over 2,000 cataract procedures and over 500 glaucoma laser and surgical procedures in both my NHS and private practice.
I am involved in surgical training of junior doctors and am an accredited Educational Supervisor. I held the post of College Tutor at Royal Free Hospital from 2019 to 2022.
