I see patients with the full range of cardiological problems including coronary artery disease, hypertension, and arrhythmia, but with a particular interest in heart failure and valvular heart disease, as well as patients being investigated for symptoms such as chest pain, breathlessness, palpitations and blackouts. Non-invasive testing performed at Spire Bushey Hospital includes echocardiography, stress echocardiography, and cardiac CT.

I am a consultant cardiologist at West Herts NHS Trust as well as an honorary consultant cardiologist at Hammersmith Hospital, and an Honorary Lecturer at Imperial College, London. I qualified from Oxford University in 2001 and then trained in cardiology and general medicine in London. I carried out specialised training and research in cardiac MRI at the Royal Brompton Hospital, in cardiac CT at the London Chest Hospital, and in echocardiography both at Hammersmith Hospital in London, and also at Hospital Bichat in Paris. I have also undertaken advanced heart failure training at Harefield Hospital.

I emphasise a caring and holistic approach, focused on the individual, with an emphasis on carefully listening to the patient, a thorough assessment, clear explanations, and shared decision making.
