Dr David Levy

I qualified in South Africa in 1985. After my postgraduate training in North London hospitals, I was appointed as a consultant physician with a special interest in the elderly in 1995 at Barnet General Hospital in North London.

I have a busy NHS practice incorporating inpatients and outpatients. I ran a rehabilitation ward at Finchley Memorial Hospital for 10 years and have many years’ experience in providing pre and postoperative medical support for orthopaedic and other surgical patients.

I am part of the Medical Liaison Team providing medical backup at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore. I am the Head of Department for Medicine for the Elderly at Barnet and Chase Farm NHS Trust.

I also have a large teaching and training commitment being an Educational and Clinical Supervisor for a number of postgraduate trainees. I am available to see outpatients for new consultations and follow up. I am also available to admit patients with a broad range of acute general medical problems and to consult inpatients admitted under other specialists when the need arises. I have a highly efficient PA who has looked after my administration since 1995.
