Specialises in
I am a senior Consultant Nephrologist with over two decades of experience in the diagnosis and management of kidney disease. I see private patients at Spire Bushey and Spire Cambridge Lea Hospitals, offering expert care across the full spectrum of nephrology - from early-stage kidney dysfunction to complex transplant follow-up.
I have a particular interest in transplantation and chronic kidney disease (CKD), hypertension, proteinuria, and acute kidney injury. As a practical nephrologist, I am skilled in procedures such as kidney biopsies and work closely with other specialists to manage systemic and multi-organ conditions. I also offer second opinions for patients with uncertain or complex kidney issues.
I previously held consultant posts in the NHS, where I led nephrology services in Hertfordshire and was joint clinical lead for transplantation. My work contributed to improvements in both patient outcomes and service quality.
Now fully in independent practice, I combine clinical care with ongoing involvement in academic research and innovation. I have served as Principal Investigator for international clinical trials, particularly in the field of the nephrotic syndrome, and have held senior roles in global diagnostics companies, developing advanced tools for post-transplant monitoring and kidney disease diagnostics.
My patients appreciate my calm, clear communication style and my commitment to forming shared care plans based on evidence and patient priorities. I am known for providing thoughtful, personalised reassurance in situations where kidney disease may seem overwhelming or uncertain.

In my spare time I enjoy cooking, spending time with my children and watching motorsports (especially formula 1). I love to travel and have been fortunate that my research has taken me around the world, from Vienna to Rio.
