Professional profile

I am General and Vascular Surgeon and my NHS base is Whipps Cross University Hospital, East London. My clinical interests include arterial surgery, cosmetic treatment of varicose veins (thread veins), endovenous laser ablation and endocrine surgery.

I have been trained in surgery in Leeds, Sheffield and London. My research experience is in arterial surgery for which I was awarded the degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD) for a two year research project. My practical experience of arterial surgery was gained at the internationally renowned Vascular Unit at St Mary's Hospital, Paddington, London. Over the past 5 years, I have developed a large NHS practice in thyroid and parathyroid disease, performing around 100 neck explorations annually.

My practical experience in general surgery was gained at Hammersmith Hospital, St Mary's Hospital and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London.

I was born and brought up during my early years in the North East of England and I still passionately follow Middlesbrough Football Club!
I have lived in London for 14 years. I am married with three children and my wife is a criminal barrister. During my free time, I enjoy playing golf.
