I have been a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, Wythenshawe Hospital since 2016 having trained in the UK and Canada. I have broad experience in the management of cardiac conditions including angina, coronary artery disease, palpitations and arrhythmias, blackouts, breathlessness, heart failure, cholesterol, valvular heart and structural disease and high blood pressure.

I specialise in Interventional Cardiology and am sub-specialised in complex angioplasty and advanced techniques for managing chronic total occlusions. I perform the highest volume of PCIs (keyhole procedure used to treat blockages in heart arteries) in the region and have an excellent procedural outcomes and safety record. I am highly experienced in low/minimal contrast angiography for patients with advanced kidney disease. I have broad experience in structural heart disease and interventions for valve disease and offer renal denervation for patients with difficult to control high blood pressure.

To date I have performed over 3,000 stent procedures (and an even higher volume of diagnostic angiograms), many of them in complex anatomies, and am an expert in intracoronary imaging, coronary physiology and calcium modification including rotablation and intravascular lithotripsy.

I lead the Renal Denervation programme in Manchester which uses novel technology to treat arteries in the kidneys to reduce blood pressure long-term and have broad expertise in the use of novel medical treatments, regularly presenting in national and international conferences.

I am an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Manchester and Clinical Research Lead for Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. I lead a number of clinical trials and maintain a strong interest in research and development of new treatment options. I am the Secondary Prevention Lead of the Strategic Cardiac Network for GM and an expert in risk factor management including high blood pressure and cholesterol.
