I have been a doctor for 21 years and in Orthopaedics for 17 of those. As an orthopaedic trainee on the prestigious Stanmore training programme, I have learnt from some of the world leaders in hip and knee surgery. I further enhanced my surgical skills after completing an internationally famous fellowship as well as domestic one. This has allowed me to develop advanced skills in hip and knee surgery that have benefited my patients greatly. I am able to offer a range of implants and use different materials according to a patients needs and requirements. This way I guarantee a truly bespoke service tailored towards the patients needs.

I specialise in all aspects of hip and knee surgery and general trauma. I have special interest in sports injuries of the hips and knees. I am the only hip surgeon in the area who performs hip arthroscopy (keyhole surgery) and repair of the labrum when its torn, enabling patients to return to physical activities they enjoy. I have keen interest in cartilage injuries in the knee. Having written an entire thesis on the subject, I am able to offer the most cutting edge techniques to treat this difficult problem.

In addition to standard hip and knee replacements, I perform minimally invasive joint replacements, enabling patients to recover quicker from such major surgery. I am an expert in complex joint replacements, and have used tailored made implants to match patients' abnormal anatomy. I am an experienced revision hip surgeon, removing failing implants and putting in new hip replacements when they are worn out. Patients often come for second opinions regarding painful hip and knee replacements.

My other special area of interest lies in sports injuries. My training in Vail, USA means that I am able to offer the very best and state of the art hip and knee arthroscopic techniques to treat hip impingement, hip labral tears and knee injuries to patients suffering from hip and knee pain. I look forward to being given the opportunity to see and treat you.

To date, I have performed nearly 5,000 operations. I a am high volume hip and knee surgeon, performing over 100 joint replacements a year. I am also the leading young adult hip surgeon in our NHS Trust, performing the largest number of hip arthroscopy and labral repairs. I regularly perform knee arthroscopies and ACL reconstructions.

I am the chair of a hip and knee multidisciplinary team of four surgeons and musculoskeletal radiologists at the Royal Free Private Patient Unit. This facilitates discussion of patients with complex problems and imaging to deliver outstanding patient care by leading hip and knee surgeons. We also discuss private cases from elsewhere, including second opinions where things may not have gone to plan.

In addition to my clinical work, I am also proud to be an Honorary Lecture at University College London Medical School. I am heavily involved in research, supervising BSc students. I am the principal investigators in national trials, which allows me go offer cutting edge treatment to my patients that may not be available to others.

I am a reviewer for the Bone and Joint Journal. this is one of the most prestigious scientific orthopaedic journals in the UK. This role allows me to stay ahead of any emerging treatments and hence offer this to my patients.

Honorary Senior Lecturer, UCL Medical School.

I live with my wife and two daughters very local to Spire. I love London as it has allowed my love of theatre, eating out and passion for my local football team to flourish. Our time in Canada really drove my love for skiing and outdoor pursuits such as hiking, biking and mountain climbing (even with a three year old in tow). I also enjoy other sports such as cricket and badminton for my local club teams. So I understand the importance of getting back to the physical activities you enjoy.
