Specialises in

I am working as a Paediatric Consultant at Basildon University Hospital and have paediatric experience of over 20 years.

I obtained my masters in paediatrics in India and subsequently completed paediatric training from London and the East of England. I received fellowship of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.

I provide a specialist paediatric opinion for children from birth up to 18 years of age and have extensive experience in managing childhood conditions such as headache, dizziness, funny turns, cough, breathing difficulties, ear infection, sore throat, recurrent infections, tummy pain, constipation, diarrhoea, urinary tract infections, urine incontinence such as bed wetting, growth related problems, slow or poor weight gain, eczema and common allergies among other problems.

I am passionate about providing high quality holistic care to children which is tailored to their needs and in partnership with their parents. I have a friendly approach which complements my communication and teamwork abilities. I have been specifically commended for my listening skills. I firmly believe that it is vital to listen carefully and understand concerns from children and their parents before planning the management.

I have a keen interest in teaching and training of medical students and am currently working as lead for year 5 medical students at Anglia Ruskin University. Previously I was the lead for UCL students at Basildon. I believe that well-structured and trainee directed training is of key importance in delivering safe and effective patient care.
