I have been a fully qualified Urologic Surgeon for 18 years. I have a wide range of experience in managing various urologic conditions such as male urinary symptoms (Benign Prostate Hyperplasia/BPH) and their treatment such as TURP, TUIP and minimally invasive surgical treatment of Urolift for BPH.
I am fully conversant in management of various urologic conditions and offer minimally invasive surgical procedures for these disorders. I have a keen interest in diagnostics and management of cancers affecting the urinary system and offer transperineal biopsies for suspected prostate cancer.
I offer surgical management of BPH (Benign prostate hyperplasia) and perform Transurethral resection of prostate (TURP), bladder neck incision (BNI), and the minimally invasive surgical treatment with Urolift.
I offer management of female urine incontinence, overactive bladder, urinary tract infections (UTI)/recurrent UTI, erectile dysfunction, infertility and sexual dysfunction in men, common inguinoscrotal and penile conditions such as phimosis, hydrocoele, epididymal cysts and varicocoele.
I have a keen interest in the urologic cancer diagnostics and their management and offer assessments of patients with suspected prostate, bladder, kidney, testes and penile cancers. I have vast experience in performing transperineal biopsies of prostate under local anaesthetic. I treat and manage bladder cancer and offer transurethral resection of bladder cancer and its subsequent management.
I have a special interest in the medical and surgical management of urinary tract stone disease and its prevention. I have gained valuable experience from a specialist Stone Fellowship at Guy's Hospital, London and acquired considerable skills in surgical management of renal tract stone disease.
I have an ethical practice which is evidence based and I follow national and international guidelines to provide a high quality of service.
I am employed as a full-time substantive Consultant Urologic Surgeon at Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. I have been the Governance lead for Urology and currently serve as Clinical Director, Surgical Specialties. I have been instrumental in setting up Urolift at Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and have been performing it under local anaesthetic.
I am an Educational Supervisor of the Foundation Year doctors and also the appraiser for the senior medical staff. I have a passion for teaching junior colleagues, having completed a post graduate certificate course in medical education. I have a keen interest in research and have published book chapters and articles in peer reviewed journals.
