I am a Consultant Spinal Surgeon at Spire Cheshire Hospital, Spire Yale Hospital and Spire Abergele Clinic. I also practise as a spinal surgeon at The Walton Centre, a European Centre of Excellence for neurology and neurosurgery, where I developed the endoscopic spinal surgery service. Prior to this, I trained in spinal surgery at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital in Oswestry and the University Hospital of Wales.
I practise across the full range of adult spinal conditions and specialise in keyhole endoscopic spinal surgery. This minimally invasive technique uses a small incision, reducing tissue disruption and blood loss, and supporting earlier recovery.
Endoscopic spinal surgery is now a core part of my NHS practice, where I perform procedures ranging from discectomy to the treatment of more complex conditions such as spinal stenosis affecting the back and neck.
My clinical work includes the management of adult degenerative spinal conditions, lumbar and cervical spine disorders, back and neck pain, spinal fractures, tumours and infections. I also provide non‑operative management of spinal conditions, including spinal injections and pain management where appropriate.
I am an advocate of patient‑centred care and believe that an informed patient is a happy patient. This approach is reflected in patient feedback ( iWantGreatCare.) and guides my clinical practice throughout diagnosis, treatment and follow‑up.Â
