Professional profile

I have been looking after patients with knee problems for over 10 years. I chose to specialise in helping those with knee difficulties because, through personal research, I found that if a consultant specialises in one specific area you tend to get better results.

The three key areas I can help you with are:

Sports injuries, helping you get back to being active again after a cartilage tear or cruciate ligament tear.

Diagnosing your knee pain, getting to the bottom of what is causing the pain. Arranging investigations such as MRI scans or X-ray and making sure you understand what the problem is and helping you fix it.

Knee arthritis, diagnosing knee arthritis early and arrange for treatments such as specialist joint injections.

If you require surgery, such as a knee replacement, I will guide you on what procedure is best and will only perform the surgery if I believe if it is the right choice for you. The knee replacement procedures I perform are patient-specific specialist knee replacement surgery, osteotomy or realignment surgery. Early diagnosis and treatment can help you avoid major surgery.
