Professional profile

I am an orthopaedic surgeon specialising in arthroscopic (keyhole) knee surgery, knee ligament surgery and knee replacement surgery. I qualified from the University of Liverpool in 1998, and went on to complete my specialist training in orthopaedic surgery in the Cheshire and Merseyside area. I became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2010.

I developed my specialist interest in sports knee surgery and knee replacement surgery by completing a fellowship in knee surgery including knee arthroscopy and reconstruction at Wrightington Hospital. To complement this I also undertook a fellowship in sports knee (knee ligament and cartilage) surgery and knee replacement surgery at the Leeds teaching hospitals NHS Trust.

I have published work in peer-reviewed journals and have contributed to orthopaedic book chapters. I have also presented my research work at national and international meetings. I maintain an interest in general orthopaedic trauma and I am based at Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

I perform arthroscopy and ligament reconstruction in the knee, sports injuries, high tibial osteotomy, knee joint replacement (including partial knee replacement), cartilage repair and regeneration and knee replacement.
