I have been serving as a Consultant Gastroenterologist at Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust since February 2023. My professional background includes extensive international experience gained through training and clinical practice in Germany and India. During my eight years in Germany, I completed specialist training in internal medicine and gastroenterology, which provided a strong foundation for my current clinical and endoscopic practice.
My specialist interests encompass all areas of gastroenterology, including pancreatic disorders, biliary pathology such as gallstone disease, liver disease, inflammatory bowel disease, functional gastrointestinal disorders, and gastro-oesophageal reflux disease. I have a strong interest in all aspects of endoscopy and possess extensive experience in both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including upper GI endoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, polypectomy, ERCP, and EUS. I maintain excellent procedural success rates with a strong emphasis on patient safety, comfort, and satisfaction.
I currently serve as the Clinical Lead for Endoscopy at Warrington Hospital, where I also lead the ERCP and EUS services. I established the Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) service at Warrington Hospital, which has greatly improved the quality of care and diagnostic options available to our patients.
A patient-centred philosophy is at the core of my practice. I dedicate time to engaging in meaningful discussions with each patient, ensuring they have a clear understanding of their condition, available diagnostic options, and potential treatments. I believe that informed dialogue fosters shared decision-making and ultimately leads to the best possible outcomes for my patients.
