Gallbladder removal: what to expect at Spire Parkway Hospital

With Spire, the process begins with a consultation. Your consultant will talk you through the procedure and explain which approach is required. This could involve either keyhole or open surgery, and they’ll clearly explain any risks.

On the day, just turn up and the team will take care of you. You’ll be provided with general anaesthetic once ready and the operation should take few hours at most. You’ll then stay with us a few hours through to a few days, but you’ll receive excellent aftercare either way.
