I qualified in 1991 from the prestigious Aligarh University in India. I then went on to complete my masters (MS) in Orthopaedics, and have been a consultant in lower limb reconstructive surgery at Warwick Hospital since 2008.

I completed my UK training in the West Midlands, Sheffield and Warwick. I also did a one year fellowship in hip and knee arthroplasty in the UK and supplemented this with fellowships at world-renowned lower limb reconstruction units at Mayo Clinic, USA and at Vancouver General Hospital, Canada.

I have extensive experience in primary and revision hip and knee replacements and perform 170 hip and 180 knee replacements each year, specialising in minimally invasive hip replacements by the Superpath technique.

The Superpath technique is a tissue sparing procedure which is designed to precisely reconstruct the hip without cutting muscles and tendons or stretching muscles that are important for hip function. The technique allows patients to get back their mobility quicker and walk unassisted the day after surgery and leave the hospital without the restrictions patients normally follow after total hip replacements.

I also offer customised total knee replacement surgery using patient specific implants to streamline knee replacement surgery, according to the patient's anatomy.

I am the lead surgeon for the DePuy hip and knee arthroplasty fellowship at Warwick Hospital and the lead surgeon for revision and reconstructive hip surgery.
