I am a consultant otolaryngologist/head and neck surgeon working at Birmingham Heartlands, Goodhope and Solihull Hospitals with skull base surgery sessions at the Professorial Neuroscience Unit, University Hospitals NHS Trust.

My special interests are paediatric ENT disease, advanced otology, nasal disease and voice disorders.

I qualified at the Birmingham Medical School in 1981 and undertook specialist surgical training at Great Ormond Street, Royal Brompton Hospital, Queens Square Neuroscience Centre and the Royal National Throat Nose and Ear Hospital. I further specialised training in paediatric ENT and adult laryngology which was undertaken in Sydney and Bombay.

I am an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Birmingham Medical School.
