Treatment restrictions due to coronavirus (COVID-19)

As part of our longstanding relationship, we are proud to be dedicating our resources to the NHS at this important time. As a result many of our treatments are currently suspended and we are reviewing all planned procedures and consultations. We are making every effort to talk to impacted patients and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Professional profile

I trained in West Yorkshire before moving to Birmingham. I have also worked as a consultant breast surgeon in Merseyside.

I specialise in the management of all aspects of breast diseases with special interest in the breast cancer management. I am a member of the Association of Breast Surgeons and I am Clinical Lead and MDT chair in my breast unit.

I am very experienced with all aspects of breast cancer surgery including mastectomy, breast conservation surgery (lumpectomy), staging of axilla for breast cancer by using the sentinel biopsy technique, axillary clearance, michrodochectomy, sub-areolar duct excision for nipple discharge, breast infections management, eversion of retracted nipple, removal of benign lumps and reshaping mammoplasty after removal of breast cancer.

I also use wire guided needle localisation for impalpable cancer and mammary duct fistulas surgery. I am very experienced in dealing with symptomatic as well as screen detected breast cancers.

I provide a comprehensive service aimed at delivering a highest quality of care to my patients.

To further enrich my knowledge pool I attend numerous national and international conferences and recommended courses.

Closer to home I participate in research projects in our unit as Principal Investigator.
