Ms Karen Wilkinson

I qualified from the Birmingham school of physiotherapy and have extensive experience working across the NHS and Private sector. I endeavour to deliver clinical excellence through evidence-based practise to ensure every patient receives high quality personal care. I completed a master’s module in musculoskeletal injection therapy at the university of Manchester enabling me to provide corticosteroid injections as part of a comprehensive integrated treatment approach. I have abroad experience in the treatment of all musculoskeletal conditions with a particular interest in:

Shoulder pain complex shoulder conditions, advanced rehabilitation and return to sports programmes, consequences of cancer treatment, long-term injury management and patient focused recovery.

In addition to my musculoskeletal practise, I am a trained Oncology Physiotherapist With expertise in managing the physical consequences of cancer and cancer treatment I am a trained lymphoedema practitioner.

I adopt a patient centred approach to work collaboratively with each individual to create tailored rehabilitation programmes to support recovery, confidence and long-term results.

My clinical skills include acupuncture, advanced return-to-sport rehabilitation, clinical Pilates, injection therapy, and lymphoedema management. I am also an IRMER-trained non-medical referrer.
