I have been a Consultant Respiratory Physician at Solihull Hospital and Birmingham Heartlands since April 2005. I am the Respiratory Lead for Solihull Hospital, running three respiratory clinics, and chairing weekly respiratory radiology meetings. I am also the deputy lead lung cancer physician in University Hospitals Birmingham, and chair of the interstitial lung disease multi-disciplinary team.

As a result of a successful integrated approach to care, the community respiratory team was awarded for innovation in respiratory care by IMPRESS, a joint initiative between the British Thoracic Society and General Practice Airways Group, aimed at improving and integrating respiratory services.

I also received staff recognition at the Heart of England charity community award in 2011 for developing respiratory community services. I am a core member of Sandwell, Birmingham & Solihull Respiratory Clinical Network and actively participate in finalising Pan Birmingham Diagnosis and management of COPD and Asthma guidelines.
