Mr James Catton

Consultant Oesphago-gastric and General Surgeon

I am a upper gastro-intestinal surgeon and specialise in laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery, performing advanced procedures such as laparoscopic gastrectomy and oesphagectomy.

I also use a laparoscopic approach almost exclusively for general surgical procedures such as hernia repair and gallbladder surgery. I have an extensive practise in the surgical treatment of gastro-oesphageal (acid) reflux.

My research interests are in surgical, nutrional and enhanced recovery after surgery.
