BMedSci, BMBS, DM, FRCS (Urol)
I studied at Nottingham University Medical School, graduating with honours in 1998. I trained in general surgery and urology in Nottingham, Derby and Leicester. I have always had a strong interest in academic research and was awarded a national scholarship and a DM degree for my research into prostate cancer. I remain actively involved in cancer research, and am Honorary Assistant Professor at Nottingham University. Having completed my urological training, I was appointed as a Consultant Urological Surgeon at the Royal Derby Hospital, specialising in the treatment of complex urinary stone disease.
After three years in Derby, I decided to join the Urology department at Nottingham City Hospital, and have been working there since June 2013. I have extensive experience in various innovative surgical procedures for kidney stone disease, including mini-PCNL and flexible ureterorenoscopy. My other areas of interest are testicular cancer and benign diseases of the prostate.
