Professional profile

I am an Honorary Assistant Professor at the University of Nottingham and Consultant ENT (Paediatric and Adult) Surgeon at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.

I completed my undergraduate medical training at the University of Nottingham (2003), where I was the Medical Society President, before being trained as an dult and paediatric ear, nose and throat surgeon in London, Cambridge, Glasgow and Liverpool. This included a year at the renowned Alder Hey Children's Hospital undertaking complex ENT surgery.

I have undertaken visiting fellowships at Stanford University, California and at the House Clinic, Los Angeles, USA. I have also undertaken a post-training specialist fellowship in all types of hearing implants, chronic ear conditions, balance disorders and neurotology at the world famous otology unit at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge.

My interest in research led me to complete a doctorate in medicine at Cambridge University Hospitals in collaboration with the Medical Research Council Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit.

I run training courses for ENT doctors and also teach on various national ENT courses.
