I am one of a handful of qualified Plastic and Reconstructive surgeons in the UK who is dual trained also in breast cancer surgery.
I had my aesthetic training in London and specialise in breast and body contouring. My plastic surgery training has been comprehensive in Cambridge, Norwich, Chelmsford, London and Nottingham and I am highly skilled in all types of breast surgery including reconstruction.Â
I was one of the prestigious national Oncoplastic Breast Fellows and I am now a Consultant at Nottingham Breast Institute, which is one of the leading units for breast surgery in the country.
I offer the full range of breast procedures (male and female) including cosmetic, oncoplastic, all the way through to microvascular free flap breast reconstruction. My PhD research was conducted in the world-renowned plastic surgery unit at UT Southwestern in Dallas, and I have authored over 50 publications, had numerous international presentations and co-authored a book chapter on breast reconstruction.
I have recently been appointed as a steering committee member of the Nottingham Breast Cancer Research Center and I am involved with national and international research collaborations in conjunction with University of Nottingham. I am a keen teacher/lecturer and in my spare time I am involved in health outreach, mentoring young surgeons and health education initiatives. I am one of the 2019/2020 Lady Estelle Wolfson emerging leader fellows of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, and I am their specialist advisor on oncoplastic breast surgery.
I am a member of BAPRAS, ABS, and BAAPS, which reflects the breadth of my plastic/breast surgical training.
