I am a fellowship-trained Consultant Radiologist in Nottingham with expertise in abdominal, oncologic and emergency imaging. I am skilled in ultrasound, fluoroscopy, CT and MRI imaging with particular expertise in cancer detection and staging, bowel imaging, CT colonography (virtual colonography), liver, pancreatic, rectal and perianal MRI.

As gastrointestinal radiology research lead at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust I contribute to national research projects & UK-wide guideline development. I am a member of the National Imaging Research Delivery Working Group for the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR). My research interests include CT colonography, hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and inflammatory bowel disease. In 2022, I was awarded the prestigious Royal College of Radiologists Robert and Elma Kemp Harper Prize for the best research paper on gastrointestinal radiology published in the journal 'Clinical Radiology'.

I am passionate about the advancement of abdominal radiology nationally, serving as treasurer of British Society of Gastrointestinal & Abdominal Radiology (BSGAR) 2020-2024. I am regularly invited to speak nationally and internationally on gastrointestinal radiology. I have written multiple medical textbooks including 'Chest X-rays for Medical Students’, listed on numerous university reading lists across the UK in both medicine and radiography, and ‘Abdominal X-rays for medical students’, which was highly commended at the 2016 BMA medical book award. I have also authored a medical physics textbook, which is featured on recommended reading lists including the Society of Radiologists in Training & The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists.
