Professional profile

I have been a consultant oncoplastic breast surgeon for over 6 years and I am an expert in all aspects of breast diseases and surgery especially cosmetic and reconstruction breast surgery. I regularly host international visiting fellows who want to further develop their cosmetic and reconstruction breast surgery skills.

I specialise in breast cancer oncoplastic and reconstructive surgery and all cosmetic breast surgery.

I have presented work at different meetings and am the author or co-author of more than 60 peer-reviewed papers and book chapters on Breast Diseases. I received the 2012 NHS Innovation Award (Health Enterprise East) for developing DigiBreast3D – a low cost 3D surface imaging system in reconstructive and cosmetic breast surgery. I was the co-recipient of the NHS Cancer Innovation Award 2007 for introducing intra-operative sentinel node assessment to reduce the number of second operations for patients needing axillary node clearance.
