Mr Pain completed his training at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge prior to taking up a consultant post at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital in 2003.
Breast Disease: Mr Pain believes strongly in the multi-disciplinary management of breast disease. All breast cancer cases presenting to him at Spire Norwich Hospital are fully discussed in team meetings at the University Hospital site. He is a strong advocate of introducing new techniques such as sentinel lymph node biopsy and immediate breast reconstruction (performed jointly with the plastic surgeons).
Endocrine Surgery: Mr Pain offers the full range of management to surgical problems affecting the thyroid and parathyroid glands, including minimally invasive parathyroid surgery.
