Professional profile

Mr Shepheard has worked in the regions Hospitals since 1986. His speciality as an audiologist means that he has been able to help those with hearing loss, tinnitus or other auditory conditions with much success, by utilising technologies and therapies. For the last 15 years he has had a special clinical interest in developing initiatives used to conserve auditory health and prevent induced tinnitus or deafness. His interest in motor sport means that he has researched the issue of noise exposure in Formula One and presented papers on the subject both in the UK and overseas, and is an inaugural member of an international committee created by the Health & Safety Executive concerned with developing and implementing improved procedures involved in hearing protection. He prides himself in helping to innovate how hearing healthcare is considered and addressed, and continues to drive the necessity for recognition of improvements in these aspects of health. Along with colleagues he created the regions only dedicated Tinnitus Management Clinic with access to the latest beneficial technologies.

Personal Profile

Mr Shepheard was born in Norfolk, and after his latter education, training and some periods of time overseas came back to live and practice in the region. He has a keen interest in skiing and motor sport, and enjoys spending time with his wife and children at their home in Norwich.
