I have worked in the regions hospitals for 40 years. My specialty as an audiologist means that I have been able to help those with hearing loss, tinnitus or other auditory conditions with much success, by utilising cutting edge technologies and therapies.

I provide a dedicated Tinnitus management clinic with access to the latest beneficial technologies.

I pride myself in helping to innovate how hearing health is considered and addressed, and continue to drive the necessity for recognition of improvements in these aspects of healthcare.

For over 25 years I have had a special clinical interest in developing initiatives used to conserve auditory health and prevent induced tinnitus or deafness, and was the British Society of Audiology's advisor regarding prevention of hearing loss as part NHS England's Action Plan on Hearing Loss.

My interest in motor sport means that I was asked by the FIA, the global governing body for motorsport, to research the issue of noise exposure in Formula One and presented papers on the subject both in the UK and overseas. For 15 years I have focused on conserving hearing health of those who inhabit music rich environments, supporting artists, performers and other professionals who work in the music industry. I am audiologist to the Royal College of Music and the British Association for Performing Arts Medicine, and co-authored UK guidance to protect the auditory health of all performers and musicians in the UK.

I am an active member of the World Health Organisation’s World Hearing Forum and lead an international group of experts concerned with creating and monitoring safe listening venues and events. Now as audiologist to the UK Night Time Industries Association, I am proud to be a lead architect of the NTIA’s “Listen for Life” initiative - the most comprehensive hearing conservation program ever designed, suitable for all those involved with the music industry. Listen For Life has evolved how hearing is tested and protected with a multi-faceted approach and has received an international award for excellence in protecting health which is being implemented in a number of countries around the World.
