Professional profile

I have been a consultant cardiologist since 2005 when I joined the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital. I trained at Oxford University before completing my cardiology training in London at the University College Hospital where I gained a PhD in "infective organisms and atherosclerosis". I spent two years at Columbia Medical Center in New York USA, as an Advanced Echocardiography Research Fellow working on the Northern Manhattan Stoke Study.

I specialise in heart failure, valvular heart disease, pacemakers, arrhythmias, palliative cardiac care, cardiac imaging and loop recorder insertions and removals. I have a special clinical interest in echocardiography, heart failure and stroke. Also work related licensing requirements such as carrying out medical assessments, reporting on echocardiograms, Dobutamine Stress echocardiograms, ECGs and exercise treadmill tests.
