Our facilities

All the comforts and conveniences you'd expect to find in your own home while you recover with us.

First class facilities

At Spire Manchester Hospital we have a full multi-disciplinary medical team on site, using some of the latest technology and practicing some of the most advanced treatments. This means we can offer everything from screening and rehabilitation through to leading-edge surgical procedures and excellence in specialist fields like orthopaedics - all delivered through our expert and caring clinical teams. For patients undergoing complex surgical procedures we have a critical care unit, managed by specialist nurses.

From our AlterG anti-gravity treadmill, used by our physiotherapy team, to our first in the UK Siemens Somatom CT scanner in our diagnostic imaging department, which is the fastest and lowest dose scanner on the market, we are committed to providing our patients access to up-to-date, innovative technologies.

All of our private patient bedrooms have natural daylight, televisions and access to free WiFi, helping you to feel comfortable while you recover. We have different types of private rooms for day care and overnight patients. Depending on the expected length stay at the hospital, patients may be admitted into a room with a large comfortable chair or a bed. For patients staying with us for a longer period of time or there is a clinical requirement, en-suite facilities will be available.

For our paediatric patients we have a self-contained, secure paediatric ward, managed by a dedicated, caring team of specialist paediatric nurses and consultants. From tiny babies in outpatients to complex spinal procedures of adolescents in the operating theatre, we are committed to each and every one of our younger visitors and getting them better.

Our brand new purpose-built site in Didsbury opened in 2017, after a move from our previous hospital in Whalley Range.
