Treatment restrictions due to coronavirus (COVID-19)

As part of our longstanding relationship, we are proud to be dedicating our resources to the NHS at this important time. As a result many of our treatments are currently suspended and we are reviewing all planned procedures and consultations. We are making every effort to talk to impacted patients and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Professional profile

I qualified in Physiotherapy from The Queen’s College, Glasgow in 1984. I worked at Glasgow Royal Infirmary for 7 years in various rotational positions achieving Senior I in Rheumatology. In 1991 I immigrated to Florida, USA and spent 6 years working in both a hospital and an out- patient private setting.

I attended many courses which allowed me to travel and gain experience in musculoskeletal conditions. In 1997 I returned to the UK and I started working at Spire Manchester Hospital in 1998. I have spent the last 15 years in my current role, growing professionally and watching our department develop and grow into a fantastic facility now at our new Didsbury site. We can now provide more services than ever before. Our gym is extensive for rehab, we offer a variety of pilate classes and are able to provide hydrotherapy to assist and improve recovery in a variety of conditions.

For the last 10 years I have successfully developed and provided a physiotherapy service at Spire’s satellite clinic in Hale. This clinic is open on a Thursday between 8.00 and 2pm. Many of our consultants at Didsbury have clinics at Hale and it gives patients another option of where they wish to receive their treatment.

I have a keen interest in musculoskeletal conditions particularly in neck and lower back pain, sports injuries and post-surgical conditions.

Clinical Interests

Special Clinical Interests: ACL rehabilitation, musculoskeletal, neck and lower back, orthopaedic outpatient, post-op surgical rehabilitation, soft tissue injuries
